I’m a designer, a musician, and a coffee lover. In my world, coffee isn’t just a drink. It’s fuel, ritual, and a creative companion. Then I tasted truly fresh specialty coffee, and that’s when I noticed the difference in flavor, and how muted and lacking in character most of the coffee from the market really was.
That moment changed everything. I realized freshness is just one piece of the puzzle. How the coffee is roasted completely changes the taste. The beans you choose matter. The way the coffee is processed and cured at origin shapes the entire flavor. Every step, from farm to roast, transforms what ends up in your cup.
So I started roasting my own. A small machine, a bag of green beans, and a lot of curiosity. After a long period of experimentation and dedication, I began dialing in the profiles, the right beans, the right roast, the right balance. That’s when the flavors really opened up.
Longwave came from that process. Every bag is roasted to order, on a small drum roaster. No sitting in warehouses. No stale coffee. Just beans at their peak.

Where It All Begins
Good coffee starts long before the roast.
We believe that how coffee is grown matters just as much as how it’s roasted. That’s why we source organic certified beans wherever we can, and when certification isn’t available, we go straight to the source to find farms whose practices speak louder than any label.
We source organic certified beans whenever possible. When certification isn't available, often because the cost is prohibitive for small farms in remote regions, we partner directly with growers who follow responsible, chemical-free practices.
We choose farms that care about their land, their workers, and their craft. Shade-grown, hand-picked, sustainably managed. A certification label doesn't always tell the full story. The farming practices do.
We only roast what's ordered. No overproduction, no stale inventory, no unsold bags going to waste. Your order triggers the roast, and that simplicity is the most sustainable thing we do.
